After choosing to focus our project on the soap dispenser, we decided to make a mind map to explore problems and possible solutions. It was from this mind map that we thought of our ultimate solution. When making the mind map we first started in the center with the bug: Soap Dispenser. Then extending from that we drew our six main problems: messiness, clogging, no indication of emptiness, hard to refill, unpredictable soap output, and hard to operate. Off of each one of those problems we connected solutions. The solutions that are free-floating were ones we thought of but couldn't connect to one specific problem.
