Our Initial Brain Storm

After we shared our bug lists with each other, we chose our favorite and bugs and brainstormed possible problems and solutions for those bugs. From this brainstorm we were able to choose the soap dispenser as the bug on which we wanted to focus our project. Soap Dispensers -It's hard to get the soap out because the soap dispenser clogs -There isn't enough soap per trial -Don't know how to use the soap dispenser -Don't know when the soap is empty -An automatic soap syringe -Create a lever to pull down on -Digital soap setting Mechanical Pencils -They never have the perfect grip -It hurts when you use it for a long period of time -The eraser on the pencil wears down quickly -It's difficult to get the lead out -Create an attachable grip that can be heated up and molded based the way one writes Dormitory Beds: -It's difficult to place bed sheets on them -The height of the beds is not adjustable -The beds squeak -Create bed sheets that snap on -Make the bed height adjustable by using a mechanical crank or an electronic height adjuster Building Designs -It's difficult to find rooms, entrances, exits, and staircases -Have large clear signs that explain where the rooms are -Have a minimal number of hallways to get to the rooms so that you will not confuse which way to go
